**LARP, fox, hair, SCA, dance.**
LARP is where I have met many local people. Mostly vampire, sometimes Werewolf or Chanegling. It is an oportunity to socialize, dress in costume, and pretennd to be someone different for a change. Currently creating a Black Fury Galliard for a larp in August.
Fox is my totem. I see myself as a three tailed kitsune. I'm half cat and half dog -loyal, sneaky, loving, soft and shy. I've had red hair, and need to redye my hair again at some point to that color. I like being a prankster, but will protect my family ad loves at all costs, crossing rivers constantly to get the trackers off our scent.
Hair- I have long hair. It reaches my waist. I have been thinking of redying it auburn again, but need the time and money. I have too much to do my own. I like barrettes and things to put into my hair. I've had grey since 16-18, so kinda want to hide it.
SCA - I was a member of the SCA for a time. I tried to get a chire created in NC, but ended up moving to KY. The local group was not willing to help me become a heavy fighter, but was willing to help Foxwit. I have a registered name and device - My name on this journal, in fact. My device is "per pale, vert and sable. 3 wolf's teeth issuant dexter argent, and three wolf's teeth issuant sinister" . I am more of a Wench than SCA due to this, member of the IWG, in fact.
Dance - I like to dance. I have no clue at all what I am doing. I can be persuaded out to the dance floor, and love drum circles. Went to MSL before it went away, a few times. I like to move. Been contra dancing a couple times, and would like to again - I have some really good dancing skirts.
Your result for Which fantasy writer are you?...
Susan Cooper (b. 1935)
11 High-Brow, -11 Violent, -11 Experimental and -5 Cynical!

Congratulations! You are High-Brow, Peaceful, Traditional and Romantic! These concepts are defined below.
Though born in England, Susan Cooper currently lives in the United States. She is most well-known for her The Dark Is Rising sequence, which has received substantial critical acclaim, the second book (also called The Dark Is Rising) in the series winning a Newbury Honor and the fourth book (The Grey King) being awarded the Newbury Medal, one of the world's most prestigious awards for children's literature. The series is one of the finest examples of contemporary fantasy: the kind of fantasy where magic happens in an actually existing place. The Dark Is Rising is set in Britain, where two common themes of fantasy are combined; that of a magic world parallel to ours, which later became so popular with the Harry Potter books and that of ordinary British school-children playing a role in the struggle between Good and Evil, which had earlier been explored by C S Lewis.
Cooper manages to use the idiom of traditional children books to tell a tale of epic proportions, as evil beings from Celtic legends appear on Earth to do battle with the Old Ones, a secret society of people with magic powers. She is also able to combine this rather romantic vision with important messages, the compassion of one of the children being vital to the cause of Good at one point in the story. In Cooper's world, what you think and do matters on a grand scale, a message children and adults alike should take to their hearts.
You are also a lot like Ursula K Le Guin.
If you want some action, try China Miéville.
If you'd like a challenge, try your exact opposite, Lian Hearn.
Your score
This is how to interpret your score: Your attitudes have been measured on four different scales, called 1) High-Brow vs. Low-Brow, 2) Violent vs. Peaceful, 3) Experimental vs. Traditional and 4) Cynical vs. Romantic. Imagine that when you were born, you were in a state of innocence, a tabula rasa who would have scored zero on each scale. Since then, a number of circumstances (including genetical, cultural and environmental factors) have pushed you towards either end of these scales. If you're at 45 or -45 you would be almost entirely cynical, low-brow or whatever. The closer to zero you are, the less extreme your attitude. However, you should always be more of either (eg more romantic than cynical). Please note that even though High-Brow, Violent, Experimental and Cynical have positive numbers (1 through 45) and their opposites negative numbers (-1 through -45), this doesn't mean that either quality is better. All attitudes have their positive and negative sides, as explained below.
High-Brow vs. Low-Brow
You received 11 points, making you more High-Brow than Low-Brow. Being high-browed in this context refers to being more fascinated with the sort of art that critics and scholars tend to favour, rather than the best-selling kind. At their best, high-brows are cultured, able to appreciate the finer nuances of literature and not content with simplifications. At their worst they are, well, snobs.
Violent vs. Peaceful
You received -11 points, making you more Peaceful than Violent. This scale is a measurement of a) if you are tolerant to violence in fiction and b) whether you see violence as a means that can be used to achieve a good end. If you aren't, and you don't, then you are peaceful as defined here. At their best, peaceful people are the ones who encourage dialogue and understanding as a means of solving conflicts. At their worst, they are standing passively by as they or third parties are hurt by less scrupulous individuals.
Experimental vs. Traditional
You received -11 points, making you more Traditional than Experimental. Your position on this scale indicates if you're more likely to seek out the new and unexpected or if you are more comfortable with the familiar, especially in regards to culture. Note that traditional as defined here does not equal conservative, in the political sense. At their best, traditional people don't change winning concepts, favouring storytelling over empty poses. At their worst, they are somewhat narrow-minded.
Cynical vs. Romantic
You received -5 points, making you more Romantic than Cynical. Your position on this scale indicates if you are more likely to be wary, suspicious and skeptical to people around you and the world at large, or if you are more likely to believe in grand schemes, happy endings and the basic goodness of humankind. It is by far the most vaguely defined scale, which is why you'll find the sentence "you are also a lot like x" above. If you feel that your position on this scale is wrong, then you are probably more like author x. At their best, romantic people are optimistic, willing to work for a good cause and an inspiration to their peers. At their worst, they are easily fooled and too easily lead.

1. I have never been drunk in my life. I haven't found a drink that good- though I have liked mead when I have had it. Never had pot either - though am allergic to it (instant migrane when walking near the stuff)
2. My hair is past my waist and most recently was dyed purple. That was two years ago. It faded into a very unique sunset and orange color. Planning to dye it auburn - eventually.
3. Many of my friends are polyamorous. There's more than one way to love, and to be in love.
4. I like men with long hair, better yet, in a kilt. Must be my Scottish blood from way back.
5. I love renaissance outfits. I am a Wench in the IWG #3123. I like corsets and costuming.
6. I love short stories, mostly fantasy, though I will read sci fi and other fiction if lying around. But short stories are my favorite reading material.
7. I'm still a gamer - I play 4th ed D&D occasionally, as well as Spycraft and Champions. I am looking at joining a Changeling larp the third saturday of the month.
8. Moving to Kentucky was one of the best experiences I could have done. It gave me a new outlook on life and got me away from a lot of negative factors in my life.
9. I like embroidering, doing cross stitch, and crafts between and during my calls at work. Its nice to have something visible as a result at the end of the day.
10. I have self esteem issues, and don't see myself as beautiful, since I am 200 pounds. The guys say I am wrong.
11. My totem animal is fox - I tend to associate myself as kitsune, generally 3 tailed. Mischief spirit, incredibly loyal to those who are decent, and a force of nature to be reckoned with when incensed.
12. I was introduced to sushi here in Louisville. Raw fish is yummy!
13. As far as I can tell, I have little or no Irish blood. But, I am fascinated by celtic knots and love celtic music.
14. I went to All State Chorus in North Carolina, in high school. Sang second Soprano.
15. 15 years ago, I married Bruce, on 12/12/93.
16. Autumn is my favorite season - I love to see the leaves change color, the smell of grapes, and the taste of apple cider.
17. My most recent addiction is Wisconsin cheese curds. Squeeky, and yummy! Gotta love squeeky food.
18. I collect rocks from all over. I have herkimer diamonds, and like panning for gemstomes, even in tourist traps.
19. I have walked through one of the world's largest cave systems - Mammoth Cave. It's really a neat place to visit. Tall people have to duck a lot though.
20. Working at the Lost Colony allowed me to crack my shell, and to learn to trust people. College finished opening that shell, and helped me to become a more open person.
21. I have trouble trusting most females. They tend to be shallow, and self serving, moneygrubbing, and focused on surface appearance. Those female frinds I have are very special, and very hard to find.
22. I believe God is Love. Love is my goal in this world, and there is infinite love. There are more things in heaven and earth...than can be comprehended by you and by I. But there is always love. And one should give as much as possible, because it makes more and spreads out into the world. I don't want much in the way of the physical possessions - I just want to Love and be loved.
23. I like being used as a canvas for henna or sharpies, especially on my back.
24. Smell is one of the greatests turnoffs for me. I have trouble standing next to people who do not bathe, or have really stained clothes.
25. One of my favorite decorations is Moravian Stars, or otherwise known as stars of bethlehem. I guess I like the celestial :)
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
What I create will be just for you.
It'll be done this year.
You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a mix tape. It may be fic, or a poem. I may draw or paint something. I might bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
My stipulation (because it makes sense which is why Rileybear67 did it):
I'll need a snail-mail address, which is why ALL comments are screened.
EDIT: you don't have to post this - I will still do something random for you! Because I like to do stuff :P

"Hush, and remember to slow your breathing" she whispered to Alia, and looked up at Araris. "Rari?"
"The Marat are attacking the valley, " he replied, his voice calm and precise. "They've already breached the outpost at the far end and are marching this way. Horses are being brought for you. You and the other freemen of the camp are to retreat toward Riva at all speed."
Isana drew in a breath.
